Ab sofort können auch Nutzer von Android an der Preview zu Project xCloud teilnehmen. Es sind über 50 Spiele verfügbar, die man mit dieser Preview testen kann. Allerdings muss man sich für diese Preview registrieren und es ist auch nicht garantiert, dass man eingeladen wird. Hier geht es zur Registrierung.
Microsoft möchte mit der Streaming-Plattform nicht Spieler davon abhalten, sich eine Konsole zu kaufen oder ihre Titel zu spielen, im Gegenteil: Es soll ein Zusatzangebot sein, sodass man mit seinem Smartphone oder mit seinem Tablet auch unterwegs Spaß haben kann.
Genaue Preise wurden leider noch nicht angegeben, doch soll geplant sein, dass Project xCloud Teil des Xbox Game Pass Ultimate werden soll. So können alle Spiele, die via Game Pass gratis sind, auch kostenfrei über xCloud gestreamt werden. Auch Spiele, die der Spieler bereits digital gekauft hat, sollen abspielbar sein, sofern diese bei xCloud verfügbar sind.
